EICCRP is not involved in conducting clinical research and in recruiting patients for clinical trials.
Behind the establishment of the European Information Center on Clinical Research Participation is the commitment to serve and advance medical research for the benefit of the public at large.
The mission of the European Information Center on Clinical Research Participation (EICCRP) is to:
- Educate and inform patients, the public, medical and research professionals, and policy makers about clinical research / clinical trial participation
- Provide information on what it means to be an active participant in the process
- Promote awareness and understanding of clinical research / clinical trial participation
- Facilitate effective collaboration among all members of the clinical research / clinical trial process
- Provide resources and information for the research community to better understand the study volunteers
- Encourage and enhance communication between those involved in clinical research / clinical trials
- Assist in increasing the effectiveness, safety and quality of clinical research / clinical trials
- Expand the resources at the disposal of the public and the community of professionals
